Q: Can a wet room be installed in a first floor room with a wooden floor?
Of course! Our flexible latex waterproof membrane caters for movement that occurs on a wooden floor. The membrane is held securely in place inside the drain which caters for 6mm of floor movement and 2mm of wall movement.
Q: Why do I need to tank my concrete ground floor wet room?
Water penetrates grout within 2 minutes; it takes 5 minutes to get behind the tile and takes 5 weeks to dry out! Concrete is porous and water migrates, damage can occur to plaster work and stud walls.
Q: How long does it take to install a wet room?
Approximately 3 working days. Our system it eco-friendly and water based; therefore all layers have to dry naturally.
Q: Where can I buy a DIY kit?
All of our wet room products and be purchased. One of our trained sales team will guide you and advise you on the correct products for your wet room.

Q: What does the guarantee cover?
Our 5 yr guarantee covers all damage and consequential damage resulting from a leak within the tanked area. The membrane must not be torn or punctured in anyway.
The tanking membrane will allow or 2mm of movement on the wall and 5mm of movement on the floor.
Q: How do I look after my wet room?
Wet rooms look after themselves in the same way as a conventional tray. However you must be careful not to piece the waterproof membrane under the tiles. Should you renovate your bathroom, remove tiles or puncture the membrane your room will no longer be water tight.
Q: Can I retro fit toilets?
Yes but you must not piece the membrane under the tiles. We suggest the use of specialist adhesives.
Q: What style and type of shower drain do I need?
Shower drains are a very important for the success of a wet room. The floor drains we supply have been tested and approved with our system.

Q: Does it matter on the size and style of tile?
No not really as it depends on your chosen floor drain; however it is important to consider the following:
- Finish of the tile, how slippery will this be when wet?
- Some tiles are subject to staining with water penetration
- If you have a central drain, smaller tiles are easier to lay on the slopped floor
Q: I have a very small en suite, is it too small for a wet room?
No, as we create our wet rooms to our client’s specifications there are no predetermined sizes. Walk in showers are great for space saving!
Q: Why would I need under floor heating?
You don’t, but it does have many benefits! Under floor heating provides a warm under foot surface, can be regulated independently from the rest of the household heating system.

What is the difference between a Wet room and Wet Area?
A wet room is a room that has been waterproofed throughout. This will mean that entire floor area and the shower walls will be tanking thus providing a water tight finish and full protection against leaks. A wet area is when just the shower area has been waterproofed and in some cases only the floor.
